On 9, 10
and 11 April, the Gordon Finest Race will officially open the national season
of car sports 2010. The Zolder circuit will rouse itself from its winter
slumber to host the first events of the BTCS (Belgian Touring Car Series) and
the Belcar (Belcar Endurance Championship). After the free trials held on the
Friday, these two national championships will hold their first race on Saturday
and Sunday on the tarmac of a circuit with a rich history. In the Belca, the FIA GT3, GT4 and
GT Cup racing cars will be raring to go for an endurance race lasting 150
minutes. As for the BTCS
race, it will include touring cars and Silhouets racing each other for two long
90-minute sprints. During
this contest, Fred Bouvy and Christian Kelders will be defending the red
colours of the Gordon Racing Team throughout the season at the wheel of a
Renault Mégane.
