At the Heyzel’s Brussels Expo from 20 April to 6 November 2011, Gordon is inviting visitors to relive the magical moment when, on 26 November 1922, Tutankhamun’s tomb was discovered in the Valley of Kings by the archaeologist Howard Carter. Four chambers lay before him, some of them filled to the roof with funerary objects of immeasurable value, destined to accompany the dead king on his journey into the hereafter: jewellery, cult objects, amulets, caskets, chairs, weapons, musical instruments and insignia of power. Thanks to modern technology, the ancient civilisation of the Nile returns in all its former splendour, and more authentic and fascinating than ever.
